Our Legacy

At SKC, our community matters to us and giving back is important to everyone on our team. The SKC Foundation is our non-profit and philanthropic initiative. Team members donate their time to a variety of causes in the name of supporting those in need. Fundraising events allow us to make contributions to many charitable organizations. We truly believe in the power of being “stronger together” – uniting our efforts to support meaningful initiatives and making donations to community, state, and national charitable causes.

To empower our community and inspire hope to those in need through collaboration, contribution and aid in any capacity.

Our Initiatives

Our Annual Fundraiser

The SKC Foundation supports many local charities and has helped hundreds of people in our community through our initiatives.

We are proud to share that our mission for 2025 will be centered around providing support to local pets in need in both our New Jersey and California office location regions. This year we will be selling our first ever 2026 "Pets of SKC" Calendar supporting Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter and their mission to provide care and find loving homes for animals in need.

The Luke Warbeck Scholarship Fund

This fund was created in 2019 to honor the memory of Luke Warbeck, the son of SKC’s Gina Warbeck. Luke was an entrepreneurial high school senior who dreamed of launching his own construction business after graduating.

For six years, the Luke Warbeck Scholarship was awarded to Morris County, New Jersey high school seniors who embodied Luke’s strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. Recipients used the scholarship to attend trade schools, pursue degrees in entrepreneurial studies, or take the first steps toward starting their own businesses.

Though 2025 marked the final year of the scholarship, the impact it made lives on. We are proud to have supported students who shared Luke’s determination and vision, and we are grateful to all who contributed to the fund over the years, helping turn Luke’s dream into a lasting legacy.

Community Well-Being

The SKC Foundation promotes positive social impact on our community through well-being initiatives. We believe that a strong community is resilient and brings opportunities to all.  Our various fundraising efforts help us support the physical, mental, financial, and social well-being of those in need.

Client Referral/Donation Program

Every good deed deserves another. Our client referral initiative gives us an opportunity to give back to organizations in need. For any existing client who refers a new client to SKC, the SKC Foundation will donate $100 to their choice of one of the following charities:

Since its inception in 2019, the SKC Foundation has donated thousands of dollars to charities through this initiative and has truly been able to make a difference.

Employee Donation Fund Initiative

For over 30 years, SKC has offered its employees a way to give back to their communities by having an employee donation fund. Employees opt to have a certain amount withheld from their paychecks that is held in a donation fund. At year-end (or sooner if circumstances present themselves) employees vote on how to distribute the fund.

Over the years, thousands of dollars have been distributed through this initiative to many local non-profit organizations, most recently including:

  • Girls on the Run
  • Morris County Adopt-a-Family
  • Community Foodbank of New Jersey
  • Homeless Solutions
  • Salvation Army
