The Luke Warbeck Scholarship Fund

Honoring Luke's Legacy

In February 2019, our SKC family suffered an unimaginable loss. Gina Warbeck, a cherished member of our team, lost her 17-year-old son, Luke, in a tragic car accident. The story was widely publicized due to the devastating and inconceivable chain of events.

To know Luke was to know life. He loved the outdoors, embraced adventure, enjoyed building and constructing things, and had an unmatched work ethic. At a very early age, Luke accompanied his dad on construction sites and, whenever he was off from school, was working on neighborhood lawns cutting grass, shoveling and eventually snow plowing to earn money. He was entrepreneurial by nature and dreamed of launching his own construction company one day. Gina often found him in his room sketching logos for his business and making plans on what construction equipment he needed to buy and how he was going to obtain funding. He really could not wait to graduate and conquer the world!

In the wake of this tragedy, SKC came together as a firm, and as a family, to support Gina and honor Luke’s dream. The Luke Warbeck Scholarship Fund was established in 2019 to keep his spirit alive and to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. For six years, the fund awarded scholarships to graduating seniors in Morris County, New Jersey, who embodied Luke’s character and drive—those with a passion for entrepreneurship.

Though 2025 marked the final year of the scholarship, the impact it made lives on. We are proud to have supported students who shared Luke’s determination and vision, and we are grateful to all who contributed to the fund over the years, helping turn Luke’s dream into a lasting legacy.
