The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) has named Caitlin Smith, CPA a 2025 Ovation Award winner in the Impact category. The Ovation Awards were announced October 9 and distributed in seven categories: Emerging Leaders; Exceptional Educators; Impact; Innovation; Lifetime Leader and Women to Watch.
The Impact category recognizes those who dedicate meaningful time and energy to any of the following commendable endeavors: giving back to the community; sharing professional expertise to support others; or advancing the interests and needs of the accounting profession through active engagement, leadership or advocacy.
Caitlin was specifically recognized for her exceptional dedication to both the accounting profession and her community. At SKC, Caitlin reinstated and currently leads the firm’s Future Council Committee, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. She is a dedicated mentor, providing guidance and support to staff and an advocate for working parents, exemplifying how professional leadership and family life can successfully coexist. Caitlin shares her expertise with the broader accounting community through speaking engagements, industry panels, and through various industry and accounting publications. Her commitment to client service, mentorship, and advancing the profession underscores the significant and lasting impact she has on colleagues, clients, and the accounting community at large. Caitlin actively participates in charitable initiatives through SKC’s Philanthropy Committee, contributing to charitable giving, volunteer initiatives, and community partnerships across New Jersey.
